We offer peer support, advice and signposting

Appeer are proudly lived experience led.  We have pooled our collective knowledge to produce the Appeer Parents and Carers Toolkit which we hope will help you navigate your daughter's world more effectively.  We hope also to add to this Resource Page in the future with videos of the Expert Zoom Talks we hosted during lockdown and other useful content.

The Appeer Parents and Carers Toolkit

As parents and carers of autistic girls and women ourselves, we continue to learn from our peers. We know how meeting others and exchanging experiences can help us understand and get to know our daughters better, and to find our own place in the autistic community. That's why supporting parents and carers is central to Appeer's mission.  We provide facilitated peer support sessions for parents and carers alongside our offerings for autistic young people.

We didn't really create this Tool Kit - you did!  It aims to bring together the wealth of knowledge, strategies and support that Appeer parents and carers have brought to each other and to us during our Groups.  We also have added assorted highlights from specialists who have kindly shared their expertise.

You can view the individual Resource Sheets that make up the Tool Kit below.

If you would like a printed copy we ask that you make a donation to Appeer to cover the printing costs and postage - suggested donation is £5.  You can order when logged into your profile on the COACHA website.  Or you can order from our webshop.

Thank you so much for your support.
